The setting gives Classics at the Castle a character all of its own. Visitors can wander among an impressive range of cars

Raby Castle, near Staindrop, is one of the North of England’s most impressive intact castles. Built in the 14th century by the powerful Neville family, it has been part of the County Durham landscape for hundreds of years. Today, the castle, its 200-acre Deer Park and its beautifully remodelled Walled Gardens make it a popular visitor attraction, with red and fallow deer roaming the parkland.

The setting gives Classics at the Castle a character all of its own. Visitors can wander among an impressive range of cars, motorcycles, tractors and commercial vehicles, while also making the most of the wider estate. With polished chrome, cherished memories and much-loved classics set against one of the region’s landmark heritage venues, it offers a relaxed day out with a welcoming club atmosphere.

The event will include a broad range of vehicle classes

The event will include a broad range of vehicle classes, covering pre-war and brass cars, cars from 1939 through to modern classics, motorcycles, tractors, commercial vehicles and club entries. Owners can enter a vehicle for display, while visitors can enjoy the show alongside access to the Deer Park and Walled Gardens, food from the Estate BBQ and free on-site parking.

Durham Automobile Club supports grassroots motorsport activity across the region, and Classics at the Castle is an important part of the club’s wider community activity, and supports the Great North Air Ambulance.
