The campaign carries a simple message: there’s a motorsport for everyone.

For anyone who’s ever watched a rally, visited a hill climb, followed racing online or wondered how people actually get involved, National Motorsport Week is a reminder that the sport is much closer than many people realise.

Across the ANECCC region, local motor clubs are playing a vital role in making motorsport friendly, affordable and accessible. They bring people together, share knowledge, organise events and create the opportunities that keep grassroots motorsport alive.

National Motorsport Week highlights their work and helps people find a way into the sport. That first step might be joining a club night, offering to marshal, helping at an event, navigating for a friend, or trying an entry-level event in an everyday road car.

For anyone curious about motorsport, the best place to start is usually close to home. Find a local club and go along to an event. Ask how you can help. You may be surprised how quickly a casual interest becomes a new hobby, a new group of friends or even the start of a lifelong involvement in the sport.

ANECCC encourages member clubs to support National Motorsport Week by sharing their events, promoting opportunities for new members and showing how easy it can be to get involved.

Many disciplines don’t require a specialist competition car, and some can be enjoyed using a standard road car and a free competition licence.

Explore events in our region via our calendar to discover the opportunities available across the sport or visit the National Motorsport Week website to find out more.
